Compliance Officer job description and Responsibilities:

– The Compliance Officer is responsible for managing the receipt, assessment, and determination of disclosure reports related to suspected or actual money laundering activities.
– The CO is pivotal in ensuring that all procedures and reports align with established standards, ensuring timely and accurate decisions, and maintaining compliance with the necessary regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

o Creating and maintaining AML policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
o Keeping these policies up-to-date with changes in AML laws and industry best practices.
o Identifying and assessing the money laundering and terrorist financing risks specific to the organization’s business operations.
o Establishing and overseeing a customer due diligence process to verify the identity of customers.
o Reporting suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities as required by law.
o Providing AML training and education to employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities and can identify potential AML risks.

Job Requirement:

– Degree in relevant fields from respectful university
– Have Compliance or Legal related experience
– Professional proficiency in English and Khmer, both written and verbal communication, are strongly required.
– Strong ability to coordinate and interact with all team members
– Good proficiency in computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet Searching etc.)
– Must be able to work with flexible hours and tasks
– Must be service-minded and solution-oriented individual
– Must be responsible, self-motivated, and high committed individual
